The Unoffical Grand Bahama St. Patrick's Day Flashmob in Port Lucaya - Director's Cut

This video of the Flashmob that happened on 17th March, 211 in Port Lucaya, Freeport, was completed purely as an editing exercise. This Flashmob was filmed by 12 different cameras and I wanted the challenge of editing so many pieces of film into such a short video.I acknowledge that the music used is not mine and I have no rights to it.
I am very grateful toDave Mackey of Mackey Media Ltd for giving me permission to do this project for my portfolio after he completed the official video of the event. As such, I welcome all comments and suggestions as to how I can improve as an editor.(N.B.As much as I wanted to, I forbid myself to watch the official Flashmob video until I completed my final cut...)

The First Flashmob in The Bahamas, with choreography by Jullion Collie of Bahamas Dance Theatre and direction by Jackie Dack of the Lucaya Youth Theatre Society (LYTS) was an awesome event and also a great achievement for the island...keeping a secret can be pretty tough! It shows that Grand Bahama is a fun place to live and take your vacation and you can see how, on this island, the full spectrum of humanity can so happily come together to create a fresh piece of apparently improvised street theatre, provide entertainment to all and have so much fun.Kudos to Laurie Tuchel of the Grand Bahama Heritage Foundation and Prudence Gallagher of Bandolera for having the vision and drive to make it happen. And many thanks to all the awesome camera crew who volunteered their time; Dave Mackey, Lyndah Wells, Nicole LeBlanc, Frankie Ladeyo, Lisa Davis, Rico Thompson, Catherine Maclay, Arek Pers, Mark Winder, Karen Clarke, Marcus Bethel and Nicholas Rolle.
Once again, fabulous job to everyone who danced and gave their time and energy to the project...you truly did prove that the Count Basie Stage in Port Lucaya Square is the place to go when you want that cocktail of being chilled and thrilled in one hit!

Corpus Christi's FIRST Zumba Flash Mob!!

DISCLAIMER: The beginning is a little long before the song starts, my camera guy was having a little too much fun...
Over 80 people consisting of both local Zumba instructors and Zumba enthusiasts participated in the city's first ever Zumba Flash Mob at La Palmera Mall today! Local Zumba instructor Cristina Rodriguez, from En Ritmo Dance Fitness, came up with the idea after watching a recent episode of Modern Family where a flash mob was featured. She then pitched the idea of a Zumba-themed flash mob to other local instructors with the intent to promote the benefits and universal appeal of Zumba to Corpus Christi. Local talent DJ Chris recorded a remix of 3 popular Zumba tracks and the instructors got to work on the choreography in a collaborative effort. And so the Zumba Flash Mob was born! Participating Zumba studios included: En Ritmo Dance Fitness, Studio 03, Zumama, She Moves, Zu Can Do It, Z-Unity, and instructors from YWCA and Gold's Gym. Beware, you never know where we might turn up next!
